Our multiple award-winning crab cake recipe made with lump crabmeat. While this is not our Jumbo Lump crab cake that made us who we are, it is made with the same ingredients but a smaller grade of crabmeat.

Crab Cakes
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 2oz. Water
  • Old Bay Seasoning
  • Shallow Baking Pan
Baked or Broiled
1.
Preheat oven to 450
2.
Reform your crab cakes into a ball or patty shape to ensure the crab cakes do not fall apart while cooking (after all, there isn't much filler)
3.
Place your crab cakes in a shallow baking pan

Pour 1/2 cup melted butter over crab cakes
5.
Pour 2 oz water in the pan

Place the crab cakes in pre-heated oven for 12-15 minutes. Ovens vary!
4.
Dust with old bay seasoning
Deep Fried
1.
Preheat oven to 325
2.
Reform your crab cakes into a ball or patty shape. The crab cakes should be as cold as possible
3.
Fry crab cakes until golden brown, or longer if you like them crunchy
4.
Check internal temperature to be at least 140. If it's not, place in a 350 oven for 5 minutes or until desired temperature is reached
* Smaller crab balls bake at 8-10 minutes.
* Crab cakes can be regridereated for 2-3 days before cooking or can be frozen for up to 2 weeks.

    Prior to placing the order, I was hesitant about spending $100 for food from a restaurant we’d never stepped foot inside. I’m so glad we did because the crab cakes were the best we’ve ever had. Unlike crab cakes from other places, every bite was loaded with delicious crab, not filler. The 8 oz. ounce individual servings made the cakes so easy to form and cook evenly – it also prevented the “hey, you got more than me” comment. I cooked all four at the same time and we thought about eating all four on the first night, not because we were still hungry, only because they were that good. Thankfully we didn’t because I just heated them in the oven the next night and they were just as delicious. Thank you!

    Crab cakes are the best I’ve ever had, and, at 73, I’ve had a lot of crab cakes in a lot of places! The meat is sweet and delicious. They are packed well and freeze perfectly if not preparing them immediately. This is my 4th order, and I added the egg rolls this time. What a treat! And the sauces were great, too. Made my Mother’s Day perfect! All the way in Minnesota (I’ lived in Maryland until 1997).
