Maryland Blue Crab:

The peak season for Maryland Blue Crabs is from April to the end of November. The biggest, heaviest crabs are typically harvested during the fall months (September to mid-November).

In December, as the weather cools down, crabs from the Chesapeake Bay head towards the warmer waters. During this “off-season” we offer either flash frozen Maryland Blue Crabs or “Maryland-style” Blue Crabs from North Carolina and Louisiana.

Eat, reheat or refrigerate crabs immediately upon receipt. There is no appreciable loss of quality from reheating.

Place a steamer basket in a large pot with enough water to reach the bottom of the basket.
Once the water is boiling, place the crabs inside, season and cover.
Steam the crabs for five minutes or until the meat is hot throughout.

If you don’t have a steamer basket on hand you can also reheat the crabs in the oven for approximately 10 minutes at 375°F.

Shipping Questions:

Your order will last 3 days in the fridge and 3 weeks in the freezer. 

You will receive a tracking number by email once it has been shipped.

We ship anywhere to anywhere in the US! Shipping rates are calculated at checkout by Fedex.

Available dates are displayed at checkout. Two-Day delivery cutoff is 10am the two days before day Monday-Friday. Next day delivery cutoff is 10am the day before Monday-Friday.

All our packages arrive in 1-2 days to remain as fresh as possible.

Our items are shipped with gel packs and dry ice when necessary. Your items are shipped frozen but may arrive thawed. Also items indicated as FRESH may arrive partially frozen if dry ice was required.

Yes! Use our delivery date calendar at checkout to pick a available date.

We do not require signatures for packages to be delivered.
